Here's a full view of the fully refurbish and enhanced Lyunsailung custom from multiple angles (Still no adhesives or modifying of parts in the construction). Time to take on the custom contest that he was originally meant for!

When I'm finished with additional pictures, I'm entering it in the Zoids Contest Arena ([link]). Don't forget to your favorites!

Wow, Really nicely done. Your work sure have improved quite a bit lately.
If I was still into Zoids as much as I used too, I would definitely consider entering that contest as well.
Although I've always viewed the entries of the previous competitions, I never really understood how that whole thing worked. It'd be great if you can shed some light on the rules and whatnot if you don't mind.
Anyways, good luck on the contest!

Thanks Juno, great to hear from you!

Basically, the contest boils down to an arena competition that serves as an alternative to war between three factions (ECF, EUF, and Aurelia). Each entry chooses which faction to be a part of, and people vote through email on their favorites. Zoids are ranked by the number of votes received, but in addition, victory is also determined by the overall number of votes received by the faction as well (so for example, if a faction has five zoids, each with only one vote, it will win over a faction with only one zoid that has four votes).

I believe the entry deadline is in May, with voting taking place afterwards. I know one of the current entries is at least two years old, so I'm guessing that it's open to any customs built since the last ZCA in '09.

Besides the normal stats and description of the zoids, entrants are required to include a description of the pilot and their reasons for fighting as well as their combat styles. A minimum of five pictures (640x480) are required to exhibit views of the entries from various angles, but we are allowed to submit an additional five if we want to show off the zoid/pilot via dynamic posing, photoshop, whatever.

Hope that helps!

yeah that definitely clears things up, thanks!
Too bad the US zoids community isn't as big as it used to be anymore. It would've been great to see a similar competition held among the english speaking community.

What Zoids were used to make this?

I can see Barigator, Dark Spiner, Liger Zero Jager, Geno Saurer/Breaker, Konig Wolf and Hammerhead. Were there any more?

I made a build guide when the original premiered a while back. If I recall, the pieces were:

1 Barigator, 1 Liger Zero Jager Armor, 1 Bionicle Toa, 1 Shell Karn, 2 Neo Blox Iron Kongs or Brachioratte, 1 Neo Blox RaptoJaguar, 1 Lord Gale, 1 Buster Eagle, 1 Bear Fighter or Bamburian, 1 Ray Saurer, 2 Laser/Scissor Storm, 1 Dark Spiner, 1 Arosaurer, 1Leoblaze, 1 Genosaurer/Breaker, 1 Hammerhead, 1 Ray Kong/Gorillatron, 1 Konig Wolf, 2 Mosasledge, 1Death Stinger, 1 Redler, 1 Demonshead, some weights or small but heavy objects

Here are the unbuilt parts:

This updated version also includes LeoStriker parts for the leg armor, LeoBlaze for the arms, Liger Zero/Zero X tail pieces for the neck, Liger Zero foot armor for the feet, a Savinga head and more Scissor Storm for the hips/arse, as well as minor blox and neo-blox pieces for the inner-structure.

Hmm, it's at least partly an ichthyosaur. Looks good, DGDSND.
